Our next breeding will be a with Speck X FC AFC CFC Toby MH RE VCD1 OAP OJP VS, hopefully this summer. She had 7 puppies from the 2022 frozen semen breeding.
I only have a few Toby breedings left and then it's gone forever. Serious inquiries are welcome.
We only have 1-2 litters a year, and although we are no longer competing with our springers, many of our puppy homes are and we enjoy living vicariously through their success. The quality of our dogs will ALWAYS stay high.
Note: We do not place our Springer or Sussex puppies in any of the southern states or with other breeders.
Our Puppy 411 Page is required reading before contacting us for info. Our puppies are raised in the house, not a kennel. Our litters are livestreamed 24/7 from birth until they leave. We will be using the frozen Toby semen again in either fall 2022 or spring 2023 (not 100% sure yet). Toby kids can be very high drive so we only place them in homes where the dogs will be trained and have a job to do.

Toby is an ESSFTA Versatile Springer and proven producer of outstanding offspring. We will be using our frozen semen again in late 2022 or 2023 with a lovely black and white Joules daughter. We are very proud that SIX GENERATIONS of our dogs have OFA health testing.
Not everything the Hellfire springers do is bird hunting related! We have placed many puppies in professional Medical Detection, Search and Rescue (trailing, human remains), AKC Scentwork, Nosework, and tracking working venues. Barn Hunt is another fun hide and seek game where rats are humanely placed in plastic tubes and hidden in a straw bale course - the field springers rock at it!
Field Springers are epic CANINE ATHLETES. Without genetic health screening, breeding five generations of dogs with sound joints/heart/DNA and eyes would be impossible. Dream, below, out of FC AFC Blanco X Zephyr, is also OFA CHIC certified
Hellfire Kennels has been an ESSFTA member since 1998 - the year I made my first Master Hunter with a lovely black and white girl named Annie (never bred). Since then we have been very active in the performance sports, have owner/handler competed to the highest levels in all of them. In addition to our hunting companion and active lifestyle pet homes. we have bred over 10 Field Champions and Field Trial Winners, over 30 Master Hunters, and placed puppies in dozens of agility, obedience, rally, barn hunt, nosework and search and rescue venues. We have over 20 years of OFA results and ALL of our breeding dogs are fully health screened.
One of our FC AFC Narvins Sully of Ivanho X FTW Hellfires Fling in Decatur "Cate" (FC AFC MH Mickey X Mia) puppies slipped under my brag radar! He is being run by pro trainer/handler Ralph Botti and has earned an OPEN WIN and other placements, now on course to put us over 10 bred by field champions. PONCHO is owned by Jim Klix and is a littermate of my dog Pod.

The beautiful Zozzy, has passed her eye, heart, hip OFA certifications and can be officially added to our breeding roster.
This is a tall, leggy, powerful bitch with a lovely level headed temperament, like both her parents. She is so quiet and low key I barely even know she is in the house. She is also a litter sister to Mhari Peschel's boy Bucky, who just earned his first trial placement at age 2 and finished his puppy career with 55 (or more?) points without even trying that hard. Zozz is from our 2018 breeding with FC AFC Blanco X Zephyr
In addition to being an AKC Breeder of Merit for our Sussex and Springers, which is based on many years of accomplishment and many champions and titled dogs produced over the years, we have also been give a rare EXCELLENT rating by GoodDog for both our beloved breeds for our excellent health screening practices. For over twenty years Hellfire dogs have been fully health screened and results have always been sent to the OFA public database.
Zephyr had a beautiful litter of field bred English Springer Spaniels born on New Year's Day (all spoken for), what a lovely way to start out the year!
It has been a painful journey through time as I revisit pedigrees and pictures of so many dogs, now long gone, but after 20 years with the same web server and host, it was time to enter the 21st century with a brand new look! I especially appreciate the mobile device capability.
