Puppies are now a week and a half old and all are strong and perfect. These puppies are gorgeous and will have longshanks like their momma. At this time, the females are bigger than the males. They are very quiet puppies until they smell Singer walk into the room, and then it's like a nest of stirred up bees! I'll post new photos when they open their eyes, morph into quadrapeds and things become more interesting.
Update 12/30: The liver and white male puppy developed a severe abscess in his right rear leg and I rushed him to the clinic this morning. Dr took x-rays, put in a drain shunt, sent us home with antibiotics, but it's too early to tell if he will make it, or recover normally. He is nursing, getting around better than he did last night, but there is concern about the growth plate being attacked and damaged by the abscess, and consequently not developing properly. If he lives, I'll have him x-rayed again in a few weeks to see what he growth plate looks like, but I suppose we'll know if one leg grows longer than the other, or if he can't use the leg at all.
Hoping for the best, but bracing for the worst. :(
Someday I am going to write a book about how to survive the highs and lows of "breeding", because sometimes the "Circle of Life" and bad luck crap truly sucks.

Docking Day. Tails are a little shorter and thankfully only a few puppies had any dews to take off. I guess we can thank Mickey for that since my Toby puppies are always heavily dew clawed and often have low riding doubles that look like extra toes. (Very gross and requires suturing every time). The puppies were troopers though, and have been very quiet. Singer is an awesome mom and the babies are already fat and growing!

The babies have finally arrived. Four girls, two boys.
Singer, a first time momma, did great.
My standard size 2012 calendar is finally done. Sorry it was so late. It's been a little hectic here lately. I will have one-two more calendar options added later tonight.

The Zeeza X Toby journey is quickly coming to an end as puppies are starting to roll out the door this week and weekend. Most are flying out, which means tons of running around for me.
Update 12/17: Singer is in early-labor. Temp has dropped with pacing. Looks like new puppies over the weekend. I'm scrambling to get everything ready, do weekend chores and still make a mad dash into town to send out Blaze before she's stuck here forever!

The puppies are now 8 Saturdays old and getting close to leaving. I hope you are ready for them. They are a handful! Whereas Spanky's puppies were easy breezy to manage, this group has been a challenge and has left me exhausted every day. They are smart, spunky, strong, perfect babies with a lot of energy and I've done my best to wear them out and keep them entertained (have even taught them all to sit still for treats), but now it's your turn. Good luck! ;) (bwahaha)
I've added a few new photos to the album (right sidebar) and I'll add some more tomorrow.

I was so sorry to hear about the untimely and sudden passing of Zeeza's son AFC Zuess over the weekend. He was only 4 years old, littermate to Iceman and Zipp, was getting ready to run in the National Open Championship this week, and still had so much to do with his life. Seems like it was only yesterday they were all puppies.
It is a very sad week for us all. :(

Drove over to Bozeman today for our ACVO eye appointment and, yay, yet another perfect litter. :) The vet was out of microchips so I'll order some and install them next week.
The puppies are running me ragged and I feel like Octomom. I have moved them into the kennel where they have more room to run around and play without destroying the house. Last night they must have run through the full sized agility tunnel 500 times, and it still took another two hours to tire them out. (I need toothpicks to hold up my eyelids today.)
I'll post some new pictures later, after I get caught up with the weekend chores. They are getting big!
PS: Toby's son "Rock" got second at the National Amateur Championship last week. Rock is from his very first litter. I hope this means more good ones are still to come! :D
