With Honors

Spanky has graduated chemotherapy magna cum laude - with perfect bloodwork and an xray showing no tumor regrowth! She has more energy than she has had for over a year. We are just thrilled. Spanky was treated by David Bostwick, an awesome internal specialist/oncologist in Missoula. Every month with her  since the surgery in December has been a gift.

A Final Farewell

Last week we said a final goodbye to our beloved Navy "Beans".  Navy was from my first Hellfire litter (Maia X FC AFC Rolling Oaks High Chaparrel) and was claimed as Jack's puppy right from the beginning. She was the twin littermate to FC AFC CFC Hellfire's Fast Track MH CD AXJ MX VS (a National Open Gun's Award Winner), several Master Hunters, agility dogs and hunting dogs. Any breeder's dream litter.

Navy also produced some very nice puppies and many wonderful hunting companions, including the 2010 US High Point Puppy "Checkers" and the Field Trial Winner  "Macks" I bred to Singer to this year. She was a lovely, very gentle lady and her presence will be sorely missed.

Spring Puppies

Things will be pretty busy this year! Singer is definitely preggers and due around mid-April. She is driving me nuts with the counter surfing during the pregnant lady, insatiable appetite stage. Her litter list is very full.  Haley was just bred early this week and we will be hoping for mid-May puppies. 

I can't wait to see some new little ones! Puppy fever has officially commenced and I  have some new puppy neuro-stimulation techniques, obstacle courses  and jungle gyms planned. At my kennel they ALL leave as super puppies. :)

Spring is trying to make an appearance and I can even  see a brown, dead grass  oasis in the middle of the melting 3 foot drifts. (Hey, it's a start!) The driveway mud is awful. The only thing saving us from flooding is the freezing nighttime temperature.

Sign of Spring

The snow continues to fall and we picked up a few more inches last night alone. And today there was this...hope!

Keep Calm

I'm trying but it just keeps on coming! The wind drifting alone is making life difficult.

The dogs are literally swimming in snow now.
